We believe task apps should be invisible

TapDone Tasks was born from a simple frustration: every to-do app we tried wanted to become a productivity system. We wanted something closer to a sticky note — fast, quiet, and always there when you need it.

Our story

We watched our parents struggle with complex apps that required accounts, tutorials, and constant notifications. We watched students drown in features they never asked for. And we watched ourselves — people who just needed to remember to call the dentist — configuring project boards and tagging systems.

So we stripped everything away and started from scratch. No accounts. No onboarding flow. No templates or methodology. Just a list that opens when you open the app, a big input field, and a satisfying tap to mark things done.

What we stand for

Calm over chaos

We reduce cognitive load at every step. No surprise modals, no alarm-colored badges, no guilt for an unchecked task.

Clarity over cleverness

Plain labels, strong hierarchy, and obvious next actions. If a feature needs a tutorial, it needs a redesign.

Respect over retention

We don't nag you to open the app. Reminders are off by default. Your attention is yours.

Offline over always-on

Your tasks work without internet, always. Cloud features are opt-in extras, never requirements.

Built for everyone

We design for the first-time smartphone user and the seasoned professional alike. Large tap targets, high-contrast text, and a one-handed layout make TapDone accessible to people of all ages and abilities. We aim for WCAG AA compliance because good design means design that works for everyone.
